It depends on who you will ask. If you ask me- I'd say don't bother The fish is around but getting to it is a pain after the heavy snowfall (if you don't have a sled)

Well I can you tell yesterday was absolute fire for me for whities yesterday , today set up in the same spot and got skunked. But weather wise today was beautiful , too nice for the fish.

You can't catch fish in bed!! LOL
What are you planning on going out for? I would go out with an operator if you're worried about the snow. Can't speak on what the conditions are like right now, but I'm going out Saturday and plan on following packed-down sled tracks. Might bring snowshoes in case, I'm all in for the adventure!

She was nippy out this morning. I broke my heater last year and haven’t replaced it yet. my helix shut off after 4 mins (even though it had a full charge the cold just killed it, and the rods and reels were getting iced up. But if you have a heater and hut you should be fine. Coloured lures have been working for me under the snow covered ice. Good luck!
