Just a quick update on our trip this past weekend for those that are getting excited for theirs.
We stay with Nick an Nikko and as always service from these two gentlemen is above and beyond. Hope to get up in the summer again too.
It was a cold weekend with a huge temp drop from the day before. Tough to get outside to fish for any length of time. We mainly stayed inside the bungalow as we left the portables and sleds at home this year. Total 58 eyes...10 keeper size with 1 over the slot at 24" and the rest under, 8 perch with one being a football and 6 cisco's. Finally nice to have a full fish fry with the new slot! Perch filets wrapped in bacon and the eyes coated in batter. Going to try and attach some fish porn. With the amount of money on spent on tackle over the years the vast majority were caught on a hook and split shot once the go to lures of years pass weren't producing consistently. Grew85 brought the LiveScope this year and its definitely a game changer, I stopped looking at my Vexliar.
Great times with fishing buddies with the bonus of watching football and fishing at the same time! Only negative of the weekend...my Green Bay Packers laid an egg! BOOOOO!
