Great morning fishing...Right?

So in saying that....

Where the hell do the fish go after the noon hour? They can't just disappear....

What's your take?

Haven’t fished them deep yet but I think they move deeper as the day goes on. They can be caught shallow first thing then it slows down quickly.

They've already eaten.

They're not hungry is the most likely answer.

Or not AS hungry.

Obviously some other factors involved but after you eat too much at thanksgiving what do you do?

yep, between 12 and 3 pm is usually a very slow time for perch.
They are on the bottom and not moving around much.
It's a cold high pressure day today. The bite should pick up after 3-4 pm

They aren't actively feeding which makes them much less predictable. When they feed they cruise typically, and otherwise are less mobile, aka, they won't come to you. When that's the case (I'd say a good %60 of the time it is), you gotta take the run and gun route to find the fish. Even a slight pattern you can piece together (weed edges, contours, breaks), almost always they relate to at least something. Make big changes too, not just 20 feet over, I make that mistake often. Try the extremes and hone it from there.

Just my two cents, but I gotta say, that's my method of attack and it works damn well for perch and walters.
