Got some more this morning in 9FOW. Caught most of them on a jig head and dead shiner.
I thought I should pick up some dead minnows after checking out the feed sacks of the perch I caught on thu. Lots of perch fry, goby fry, and minnows. They are feeding on bait sized fish right now for sure.

Looks great. Last time I was in Gilford it seemed everyone was fishing 20 feet plus.

I just walk right by the < 10 foot depth areas and head right out to where most of the huts are.

Sometimes it’s always best to stay away from the crowds. Just like deer hunting, hunt the deer, not the deer hunters!

For sure! I always avoid the common areas other hunters go to and always avoid the big crowds on the ice. Big crowds significantly slow the bite down, I also learned a few years back when I started ice fishing Simcoe not to through the fish out on the ice or the vultures surround you quickly.
