Thanks Frank. Yes, it is quite rare to get a small laker like this on Simcoe. I think of all these years I have been fishing for Simcoe laker on kayak or on ice, this is the 3rd laker this small I landed

Great video showing how you got the laker to chase and then the hit as you sped up. It's what I use to do as well for lakers but haven't targeted them in a long time. Nice to see the smaller naturals (a good sign of things to come, I hope) - maybe worth targeting lakers again if there are more smaller eaters out there.

I'm old, James. I miss half the fish too. Many times I have I looked away for a second and looked back and the fishfinder and saw went for my line lol.
