On the ice at 1:00pm quick walk to my area/spot got setup with a rod for jigging spoons and a dead stick. I caught a nice smelt by accident when jigging. It makes me think I need to use larger presentations it was a large smelt!
I was 5 minutes from packing up when my dead stick bends over. After a quick fight on my ultra light a Burbot was through the hole. I swallowed the hook deep and was bleeding so I decided to keep it.... the blood marks my spot.
