Headed up to the cottage on Friday night. Scouted out a spot on Navionics that is a short walk out. Didn't get a line in the water until after 8AM. Started marking fish right away. Had more misses than I would like, I guess the rust was starting to show. Did some jigging for a bit, but they didn't want to play so sent down a couple medium sized shiners. Finally iced a few. 6 in total for the morning. Sent back a few small ones and 2 rock bass. Kept 1 good eater. Just before leaving I was marking something decent on bottom but it wasn't acting like a laker. Possible walleye as there were reports of multiple catches last weekend in the area. Perhaps a ling? It wasnt cooperating so I packed it in before the snow came. Not a bad day on the ice.
