Hi everyone I have been fishing minets point for the past few years and only landed 2 whitefish.I have been using everything from meegz, vibratos swim baits and everything in between I have been fishing waters from 40-90 ft off bottom. Cant seem to even mark more then few fish a day does anyone have any pointers on what I’m doing wrong or is there just not that many fish in that general area ? Anything helps thanks

I’m in the same boat as you I ended up switching to old school spreaders on bottom with a spring bobber. The bottom is a lot softer then you think with a silty bottom so Meggs sink to deep( I’ve seen it with my camera) I’m no expert but I start deep and work my way back to shore 2 hrs at a time, if I mark then I stay a bit. Minnows are a pain but on kemp that’s the only way I can get them. Now that ice is walkable I’ll be heading out on Sundays. Forgot to mention I use 2 nd hole with vibroto 2 feet off bottom as an attractor….good luck….

I was at minets on the sunday and got skunked in 67fow. Seemed to be marking them and threw vibratos, meegs, drifters at them and couldnt get anything to commit.

Try hiring a guide for a day

Thanks I guess it’s just hard to catch them there I’m gonna have to try minnows on spreaders. Hopefully that will help otherwise I really will have to hire a guide lol.

Spreaders don't work there.... Stop wasting your time and go to another location.

Of course spreaders work there search kemp on YouTube and there’s lots of vids. Also I’ve been out fished lots of times by friends using spreaders and tip ups.

I was at this location last week and I was on top of many marked fish.

But they seem to not bite anything (minnows, meegs, vibratos, plastics).

was lucky to catch one small fish, but I wonder how all the 50+ huts did on that day?
