Good morning, Just a quick question, can you park in Brechin without getting a ticket on the streets? Would like to get out this week, but not sure where to park. Last thing I want is to find a parking ticket. Thanks in advance!!

I got a $50 dollar ticket there Sunday. No parking on any road in Ramara. I guess it now cost $50 to go fishing. Parking on the lake is going to be much more common.

That's ridiculous that we can't park. I am sure that was caused in part by a few in the neighborhood complaining of the cars on the road and some garbage that people left behind. I guess it will be an expensive year to fish!!

Absolutely ridiculous a public boat launch with no parking and very very little signage. There’s 2 streets that have no signs on them at all saying you can’t park. I was one of the 30 that got a ticket last week. Completely blows my mind that a public boat launch doesn’t have parking. The cars/trucks will be loaded on the ice this year blowing out the shoreline creating a dangerous situation for anyone coming or going. Ppl possibly getting stuck out there and no way for them to get there vehicles off the ice. Pollution levels will be higher then ever. I don’t know what runs through these politicians heads. If there all complaining about garbage then inforce it give out large fines to ppl that deserve them and give large fines to ppl that drive their machines down the road like clowns. Send some cops down there take care of the problem instead of creating a big one. I couldn’t be more P’d off about this hole parking thing. We pay for fishing licenses and taxes but I can’t park at a PUBLIC boat launch. Absolutely ridiculous. I guess we can now call it a resident boat launch.

My smartass friend seems to have a solution. He has an old pair of Ontario plates that he swaps out after he parks. Eleven tickets so far with the bill going nowhere.

Worst part of this hole thing is. I put my self in a residents shoes and I can’t blame them for being mad upset. I would be mad upset if there was garbage all over and ppl were ripping their machines up and down the road completely careless. It’s not everyone MOST of us are respectful and treat it like the street we live on. But unfortunately there’s a select few that are completely careless. Hopefully with some of lake simcoes guides and top anglers and avid fishermen we can reverse the parking restrictions for next season or at the very least loosen some of the restrictions in place. Ppl threatening the mayor and calling the township loosing there minds isn’t the way to do it either. I’ve seen a lot of shady stuff going on the last month or so and that’s gonna get us nowhere. The restrictions will be in place for the remainder of the season that’s for sure so we can only hope next season things will get better
