To be effective, you need to propose solutions at the town meets, not just complain and offer nothing.
The politicians and the Karens are the ones pushing this agenda, and to some degree, the MNR. The MNR gets involved when it's about abusing protected greenspaces and lakeshore zones.
I'd wager the politicians aren't avid fishermen, and the Karens certainly are not.
To enact change, think of a solution, take the time off work go up to the town hall meeting and propose your solution in the middle of the day. Most of us don't have that time luxury as we're working and already have a full plate. But this is the only way it's going to get done. If nobody does it, then it wasn't that big of a deal to put the time and effort into - at least that's how the town views it.
