Wife and I are heading to Sudbury this weekend. I’ve never ice fished up there are there any suggestions I’m a walker and would like some where convenient and close to town

Really Ramsey is a great lake for fishing. Many people look past it because it's so urban but it has great pike and walleye fishing in terms of action at least. If you end up wanting to take a drive, you can look 1.5h distance in almost any direction from Sudbury and find excellent fishing for warm and cold water species.
If you simply want access and action, check the local lakes that are more pond size, most and chalked full of dart pike.
