> Sudbury, Where to ice fish

Wife and I are heading to Sudbury this weekend. I’ve never ice fished up there are there any suggestions I’m a walker and would like some where convenient and close to town

For Speckles = Nepahwin
For Pickerel = Ramsey
For Perch & Pike = McCharles

And an hour south the French river for everything.

All accessed from roadways and easy walking. No parking fees either!!

Really Ramsey is a great lake for fishing. Many people look past it because it's so urban but it has great pike and walleye fishing in terms of action at least. If you end up wanting to take a drive, you can look 1.5h distance in almost any direction from Sudbury and find excellent fishing for warm and cold water species.

If you simply want access and action, check the local lakes that are more pond size, most and chalked full of dart pike.

I think you are mixed up Nepahwin has never had speckles but they have had splake

I agree about Ramsey lake great fishing if you get on the fish its a heavy stocked lake
