Fished the afternoon today from 12:30 to 5:30 (just before dark) for 5 hours off Oro side (couldn't fish in the morning due to no parking allowed prior to 12:00noon).

And due to strong wind today, I didn't setup a hut, but instead fished in the open braving the cold and the wind:-)

Lost one half way up, and then landed one.

Where I fished, ice is around 7 inches. There are some snow on ice, but not that much, with some 2 to 3 inches snow here or there...

Looks like you were one of the brave people with the cold wind. Not to many people fishing in your picture today, nice fish. Stay warm.

yes, most of the time while I was on ice fishing this afternoon, there were no other people on ice anywhere around as far out as I could see on the lake. It's like I had the whole lake to myself :-)

as always, very nice...and to do it out there in the cold, wind and no shelter. You deserve that fish (and probably the other one too).

I have three Pflueger President reels, two on St. Croix rods and one on a Quantum. They are durable and I think still under 100 dollars if I break one going through the woods or some other mishap. Never had a problem with one yet, and have had them for years. Would recommend those reels to anyone, good quality and good price.

Agree. I have quite a few (over 6 or 7) Pflueger President reels, models 6920, 6925 and 6930....
