Garmin striker, info

Just wondering if any of you guys have used the striker 4 around other flashers. Do these units " play well with others"

I am considering upgrading from my lowrance x67 if this unit wont pick up interference like this unit does.

I have a striker 4 and if I am anywhere near a person with a flasher, I have nothing but snow on my screen. I have to set up quite a ways away to have it work. That said, it works fine when I am alone.

I have a Marcum and a Striker 4(for my boat). I took the Striker 4 out with my buddy the other week and he uses a Vexilar FL-8 and we were able to fish side by side without any issues. He did have to tinker a bit with his interference settings a bit, but otherwise it worked fine. I don't believe that this scenario would have worked with a Marcum, due to the Marcum pushing out a stronger sonar signal.

I fish regularly with two buddies and we all have Striker 4’s. We tighten up our cone angles and haven’t had to utilize the inference settings on the units. We’re able to fish together with our Strikers in a 6 man hut with no interference issues at all. Not sure about how the unit would be around flashers but I assume worst case that the interference settings would eliminate the issue.
