perching with Taj....Feb 01/22

Finally got out with my old friend for a 3/4 day of perching...was set up and ready by 7 am....


non stop action from 7.15 am to 10.30 am and then bite slowed down.....now most of the fish were the dinky ones but we managed 20 each to bring home for dinner...these were 9 plus to 10.5 ....got no jumbos

had to take a break from fishing at 8.30 just to straighten out the back and have a coffee

minnows and slab grabber plus jigging rap were producing the little guys were very aggressive and would follow up almost to the hole

we banged well over 140 of those

packed it in at 1.30 I was tired but just had a great time

I heard you were there old friend.......we've done that a few times now

hard to tell as he put his huts on top of the snow.cause of this weather coming.......

let's just say this, he came and picked us up in a truck, so I would hazard 12 inches anyhow, but I cannot say for certain

ya.......Frank......I prefer to go earlier in the season. but could not.......most likely will go up again in March


but still had a great time

Going there on Friday for the first time. Taking the wife, the grandaughter, the daughter and friend. Can't wait. Thanks to James for a few pointers.

Sorry about the back pains and fatigue.. I get it too..

But fishing makes it all go away --- for a while.. LOL
