Baffin Titan boots, What do you guys think?

I have a pair of Baffin Titan boots.

Its very warm while fishing but i have to admit, its not the most comfortable for walking 3KM and up.

The reason is in my opinion, that the Titan is just a very insulated rubber boot but its doesn't fit the foot and tighten so walking in it feels extremely clumsy and dragging.

For those with Titans do you think the same?

Also, any suggestions for more comfortable walking boot that can handle sitting around the hut while fishing as well?

I have not tried baffin titans because they didn't feel good walking around the store. I did try bogs and mucks and settled on the mucks arctic ice.

I totally get your feel for those boots.

Now i want something better for my long treks on the ice. Walking in Baffins for 8KM is a killer.

I own both. Titans are used if driving the sled to my destination but the Mucks get the nod if walking.

Mucks are much better for walking and work well enough sitting on the ice. Not as warm as the Titans but nothing a chemical heat pack added once your feet start to get cold won't cure.

I switched from titans to nats and never looked back. They fit smaller so have to order a size or two up. A pair only weighs a couple pounds.

I agree titans are very warm but a nightmare for walking. I have thought about trying other boots but haven't yet.

Love my titans. Feet have not been cold once in 2 years. Same complaint as others in regards to far walks. Heard the Baffin Eiger’s are better for walking.

8 Km! Wow. I do quite short walks and just love my Titans.

I am a walker.

I love my Titans but usually walk 2k or less. I do a couple of 5k treks but those are rare. I have never found them to be an issue walking. If my feet are warm I am happy. I do think the trade off for a super warm boot is they don’t feel like a running shoe.

I have a pair of titans for wet condions also another which is very comy and light easy walking both very warm

The Titans keep my feet warm and dry which is most important to me.
In fact, I bought a spare pair this year from Cabela's when they went on sale. Didn't want to take a chance of being without due to supply issues if my current pair sprung a leak. (as that would be worse than running out of toilet paper!)

So I ended up buying a pair of Baffin snow monster..

It was on sale on Amazon.ca for 195..

They said it's not as warm as the titan but definitely a lighter walking boot.

I also use nats and I love them,light and warm…

I bough a pair to Titans and the first time I used them they leaked. I went right back to Sail but I only got a store credit. I changed to a brand called Deer Stalkers or something (no longer available) and they had built in ice cleats (turn them off and on as needed). They were good boots until they melted as I was sitting too close to my heater (I couldn't get them on any more as they warped). I have been trying to find some Nats, but I haven't had any luck yet. I have a few friends that swear by them. In the meantime, I just wear the cheapies from Walmart. Good to -50, and as long as you wear two pair of socks, you are good to go. Any they only cost $50.
