What are the best perch jigs?

I was curious what some of the best perch jigs are colours. Prefer purchasing from local shops.

My favorite is wolfram fiskas epoxy tungsten jigs. Unfortunately not available locally.

In terms of jigs we don't have many options for local far as I'm aware. I haven't even seen bait shops with Simcoe bugs or anything of the sort. In terms of micro, the best options are white or red tungsten jigs tipped with microplastics, your goal with those is to look like a scud or a little insect. Same with minnow representations, not much local, and perch hit most flashy lures with little thought, but slab grabbers will get the finicky ones to nip typically.

All of this is in my humble opinion but most days they either hit everything, or one of those two.

They all work. My most productive lure is different every outing.
Colours- gold and silver are best but I’ve been having more success with bright colour patterns under the snow covered ice lately.

Last year, I had a day - when nothing could make perch to bite.
I tried, Rapalas, SlabGrabers, minnows, homemade lures, imports from Russia, Poland, Finland (other then Rapala), Norway, veriety of American and Chinese lures = n o t h i n g !!
In desperation - I tried Simcoe bug - green colour. Bingo. Every time I drop this little lure down - I got a fish. Size of the perch - from dinks to jumbos. Using the same lure.
Go figure how it works under water.
I will try my luck tomorrow - of course armed with all of the above.

There are a number of people that sell Simcoe bugs (many bait shops as well, like True North Baits), which looks like a wax worm on a small weighted hook. I have a few of them but never had any major success with them, but many people swear by them. However, I use a dinner bell, and put a minnow through the back on it. I have caught 100% on this set up this year, even though I have (I think) every other lure known to man for ice fishing. I'll try and find a picture of a dinner bell. They come in various sizes and colours, and of course I have them all. The dinner bell is also called a chandelier. It makes a noise as it goes down or it is jigged.

I have very good results with the forage minnows, tipped with minnow and if the bite is light tip it with just a minnow head.

Slab Grabber 100%.. with or without minnow head

It all depends how deep you are fishing. The slabgrabber is amazing for sight fishing 10-15 fow as you can play keep away from the dinks. If fishing deeper you want something heavier to get down quick while the school is under you. A qualty spreder works well for this as you can reel in a fish and drop it back down quick as you still have 2 hooks with bait on them. I also use bugs

I have quite a few of them really nice to have different jigs when you need to change up your presentation when the bite is not cooperating. I also like the Berkeley micro baits (tiny plastics) in various colors and shapes that do entice a bite when the perch are finicky I can tell you having a good selection of different baits does produce.
