West Shore Ice Conditions, Weekend Trip

Good afternoon folks!

Gearing up for our trip up this weekend.

Sled is back together running mint.

Just have to get a few more baits and fuel.

We are staying around innisfil (riding out of Sandy Cove).

Just curious how the ice conditions are on that shore. Possibly will venture around the point to Kemp area Sunday.

We plan on travelling a fair distance near the shoreline to get to better perch grounds Saturday - to 9th line maybe even the top of cooks bay.

Just curious how the ice is - jagged etc?

Snow conditions?

Suspect we will be fine. Just curious!

I was out on the top end yesterday towing a portable on snowmobile and it was definitely a challenge trying to take it easy on the bumps while keeping up enough speed to get through the slush patches. At least I could see most of them since there were enough tracks to see the wet spots. Would have been a no go on foot for sure where I was! It could be worse this weekend with mild temps and snow this week, unless enough snow melts and refreezes it could be pretty good since temps are supposed to drop again on the weekend. Definitely have a couple close spots picked out in case a long run isn’t possible.
