Skidoo Repair, Good Mechanic

Hello Does anyone have any contacts for a good reliable snowmobile mechanic, have a 2009 Skidoo 550 Fan that starts, then bogs down and backfires when reaching 4000 RPM and does not kick into reverse, changed the spark plugs yesterday, still same issue,

not an expert by any means but i had a 2005 with some reverse issues if it has electronic reverse iit could be lack of compression or the ecm module. if its electronic reverse let the machine get to opperating temperature then try or try to increase the rpms before you hit the switch for reverse.

Its not going into reverse cause rpm are high just choke it a little and and rpm will come down must be under 2000 rpm to go in reverse try some sea foam and use super gas hope it works for you had similar problem.

Try bypassing the Tachometer filter harness. It is a circuit board plugged into
the kill switch on the dash. Follow the wires to find it. Remove it and plug
the factory ends back together. See if that makes a difference.
