Slush in beaverton?

Hey everyone just wondering what the slush was like for an atv out around beaverton area??? Want to head out on Thursday and Sunday... just got a new otter lodge and there is no way I'm walking with that thing lol thanks everyone !!!

I was Towing my otter cottage today, smaller than the lodge, I hit a few patches of slush I thought I wasn’t getting out of! On a Polaris 550 fan 136” track. Made it everywhere I wanted to go but enough to make you pay attention and gun it where needed.

Was at Port Bolster yesterday puul a small trailer behing the atv stay on the pack trail and have no problem but tje fishing was terrinle only few dink hope other was lucky

Haven’t been out to the perch grounds at Beaverton yet this year, but this time last year there were trucks driving out…. I guess vehicles aren’t going out from Beaverton yet eh? I just love the idea of getting out there with my AWD Subaru sedan and setting up.

There is tons of ice in beaverton just didn't want to take the bike and get stuck in the slush

IMO vehicles (cars/trucks) shouldn’t be allowed out at all since all it takes is one to make it out then the rest follow. Hence ruining all the trails, breaking up the shoreline and usually parking on the ice beside each other until the ice sinks with the vehicles and pollutes the lake with gas, oil, coolant, etc. Simcoe rarely is safe anyway even at the best of times if you factor in the usual pressure cracks. The last time I drove my truck out in 2014 there was 36” of ice but I spent more time pushing and towing stuck cars around my hut than fishing.

That’s a fair statement, I’m in the process of acquiring an ATV and trailer so I’m looking forward to that day.

Planning to walk out to perch grounds from Beaverton Friday and staying overnight for some extra fishing Saturday.

Looks like a mild week on Simcoe, can anyone comment on the ice conditions of late?

Was out yesterday and there had to been 6 inches of slush. Hopefully with colder Temps coming tomorrow that may stiffen it up.

It was super tough today and didn't mark much until the afternoon. Looking at the positive side i chummed something i came up with... i thought the perch i caught in 71ft of water would have issues... No sign of problems so I let him go, he went about 10ft down and stopped. He did a couple twitches then puked out all my chum.. lol at least the new chum works. 😆

The big jumbos we got all had their swim bladders blow up, but the little ones were all fine. We were in 33 fow.
