Go Pro cameras, Best video equipment

Think I need help.
I have a brother who unfortunately can no longer accompany me on fishing trips due to Parkinson disease, so I would like, if possible, to bring the fishing trip to him.

I really have no idea what kind of equipment to use. I see "Go Pro" cameras used on many fishing trips and wonder if they would work best. Hopefully some can be attached as a head unit or attached to the chest area.
Would they work best for what I would like to do, or there better options?

i've got a Go Pro 7 Black, I use it for ATV rides. It has a lot of features such as stablizer for rough rides, low light levels, etc, more than I'll ever use. It came with helmet and chest mount with straps and there's all other sorts out there. Only thing I added was a spare battery available from Amazon with a charger. Maybe a bigger chip would increase recording time. I'm happy with it. When you search for them, be aware the "colour" of the model gives you more or less features. Got mine on a good sale.

SONY also has some decent action cameras that you can consider (it's all about costs vs. quality, functions, etc.). Accessories can be very expensive so I tend to stay away from brands that have cameras that can only use their own mounts, etc. Standard mounts equipment tends to increase your chances of making your own accessories that can save money and increase function (but waste time )

A GoPro 8 or GoPro 9 will be the easiest for what you want to do. They are fantastic, have stabilization, and just overall do a fantastic job.

I use a combination of two cameras in my videos:

- Sony a6400 with a 16mm F/1.4 lens
- GoPro 8 Black

The Sony camera will only work if you have a place to mount it on your boat and/or on a tripod and set it up somewhere. It's heavier and requires you to know quite a bit about Cameras/Videography to get good footage.

The GoPro camera is literally point-and-shoot and has godly stabilization. As long as you aren't shooting in low light, the GoPro will do exactly what you want.

In my videos, the 3rd person shots are all done with my Sony a6400. The first-person shots are all from the GoPro 8 Black.
