Hey guys, randomly have the day off from work tomorrow and was thinking of parking somewhere near Big Bay Point to try for Lakers or whities. Over night tonight temps are dropping with rain so do you think it will be a bad walk out/unsafe ice? Also where’s a good place for parking near BBP?

I used to walk off BBP all the time until access was closed.

I walked off the government dock at 30th side road last weekend and it was the best walk i’ve ever had. Also got skunked but marked a bunch…

Last weekend? Yes I'd agree it was best walk on ice. but now a different story altogether I say. I mean after yesterday's unusually high temperature and the rain yesterday and today, I am not sure no more....

I went out yesterday it was nice in the morning but when I walked back a blow up moved in 15 yards from shore which added a pool of water on top of the ice

I still have access due to a friend that lives within a 10 minute walk
