I knew the winds were going to be a factor but decided to give it a go anyway.
Launched out of Hamilton harbour and went into Lake Ontario set up and trolled spoons on dipsy's. the wind was strong but not to bad.
Beauty start.

These are the rail systems that a mentioned that I put on the boat. A bit pricey, but they work great! And I can slide riggers into them. (When I get them).

Something in Grimsby was on fire!

My buddy and I trolled for few hours with nothing to show for it. Then as we started to head in because of the waves we got a hit!
Landed this little beauty. A small male coho, I think? What do you guys think?

Looked like it was about to storm, so we called it a day.

The winds dictate what happens this time of year. Will give it a go another day.
Cheers!

Your coho is not, look at the pic of the tail, it has spots all the way down. Coho only have spots in the upper half of the tail.

It was the forked tail that was confusing me.

I'm glad I cacnelled today's trips

It was worse down my way since it was a west wind.

Yep, tail dead giveaway for a small chinney.

I was thinking of heading down your way originally, but decide to stay down this way because of the west wind.
Thanks for the ID of the salmon.
Cheers!
