Well, I buy crap. Some rods I've never caught anything on. I have one set up that works for me...going forward I would be willing to invest even more of the banks money but for quality something. Could use some new cleats as well...wondering also why fluoro leaders and not a full spool of flouro? So let s see if anyone can help make some sales!

Thanks

Dog

Cleats these.

Crampons

Floro leader IMO tied to Braid if your in a hut. Better feel with the braid and floro leader for a better presentation than straight braid.

If your outside mono main line doesn’t absorb water like floro and doesn’t ice up as much as floro. Again floro leader for better presentation as it has the same reflectivity as water and is harder to see.

Awesome start. Good explanation of the flouro. Will check the cleats out, my cheapys are like little Stubbs that don't fit boot, size 13... I did learn after the fact that spooling braid on a reel requires mono to start the spooling, and braid freezes up fast open holet. I think I should also stay away from crappy tire... Anywhere I'm sure I would be able to get some decent rods/ reels, any suggestions?

Thanks again
