March madness, fishing activity

I hear people talk about 'March madness" and the late-ice fishing frenzy. Does it happen with perch? If so, when and why? I presume it has something to do with the move to spawn and agression feeding in advance of it?

I've heard the same, yet to witness it...May just be a slow down I angler pressure, still have to be able to find them. Lol will let you know when everything aligns for me!
