Hi all, our group is going out with Ice Bungalows this coming weekend and wondering if anyone can share their experience with them. I’m also wondering if anyone knows how thick the ice generally is on the lake. I have a 10” Eskimo auger that I’m bringing and wondering if I should buy an extension after seeing Kokemachine’s ice report that he posted….. any info will help….

Thanks Folks!
Mike

Going by a swede-bore 8" ice auger the blue part is all the way at ice level when I break through.

Lots of new snow has fallen this week which makes for one hell of a work out.

The rentals will have the holes inside open but its always nice to have the extension for the future.I have had the 6incher for years and find it quite adaquate. Now some may say 8 inches is better but i found that my 6 incher always does the job and i'm quite happy with that.

I also found that drilling a 8 inch hole is better than a 10inch hole as you can get lost with the 1o incher like a hotdog in a hallway.
