My friend asked me how can I be looking forward to spring fishing with all that is going on in the world. So my responce was this. If something terrible happens in your life or the world you still have to take care of yourself and your family. You need to sleep and eat. You still need to go to work and you still need to relax doing what ever you do. Sports..reading..fishing..or just going for a walk. And as always be kind to people and help out where you can. Pray for peace in Europe.

Basically, just do what you can.
Plan for the worst, and hope the best situation is that you were just being paranoid.
We can't live our lives in fear and have to continue doing what we love to do.
Everyone should have 2-4 weeks of food reserves and lots of water. Covid has shown us that everything we have taken for granted for several decades is just a peaceful bubble illusion. When SHTF, society crumbles real quick and it brings the worst out in people. The world is shifting and it's your job to make sure your family is prepared and safe for whatever the future throws at us.
We were this " " close to having a normal summer.. ugh.

Yes we are so lucky to live here in Canada. You never know what is right around the corner in the future. We watch what is going on and I have had a few updates from friends that have family in Ukraine Belarus and Russia. It is beyond our grasp to comprehend this war. Only people who have gone through war can help us to understand what that must be like. And even then we will never realize what these victims of war are living every day and night. Pray for peace in Europe.

I agree with everything you have said here.
I hope this war solves itself soon. Unfortunately, just like COVID, I don't think the world is going back to normal even if there is an agreement to stop the war between Ukraine and Russia. It's going to be a very bumpy 2022.

2022 is going to be very bumpy and after that as well for a long time. War is like a forest fire. It destroys everything in its path. It can take decades to recover fully from a forest fire. Eventually the trees grow back and everything is beautiful again. After this war is over millions of people all over the world may never fully recover. Their hearts and minds and bodies may be broken. In Canada we all may know someone that is affected by this war. A family member or friend or co-worker or neighbour. There is someone out there in our community that can use a smile or a hug or even a kind word. That is why we are praying and begging for peace for all.

Life is good. just woke up because I am working nights. Beautiful day outside with the sun shining. Ice is melting spring fishing is here. I wish all of you luck this year fishing and stay safe out there. Everthing seems to be getting back to normal here in Ontario. Like I said life is good. I have a good safe place to work. Food in the fridge a roof over my head a reliable vehicle and the wonderful land of Ontario to enjoy. Sometimes I remind myself how lucky I am. There are many people that need our prayers right now.

We just had Thanksgiving and many of us have something to be thankful for. Others may need our help if we are able to assist in some way. If you are able maybe give to the food bank or carry a seniors groceries to their car. Maybe just smile and say good day to a passer by. Take a friend fishing or out for coffee. This picture was taken on Balsam a while back. What a beautiful country we live in. Pray for peace.
