Had to be 20 years ago, I caught a ling that had an 18 inch lamprey attached to it. It let go when it realized it was out of the water. Needless to say I killed it and released the ling. This was fishing with an operator situated by the Manitou islands.

I have seen a few silver lampreys on pike and muskies from Nip. Pretty common to see old scars on fish. I’d be careful about advertising that you’re killing them as they are native and federally protected. Also celebrated in some indigenous cultures, I believe.
