Had a great 2 days on the lake. Quite a wild ride out to the huts through all the slush...we didn't think we would get out a few times. Action good on Monday taking home 39 perch 1 herring and releasing 7 walleye all but 1 undersized the biggest one just over 20 inches. Tues action continued with perch on fire. Took home 74 perch 2 herring 3 keeper walleyes. Had a pike break off. Fishing out of Sunset Park about 5 kms out to the islands in 30 ft. Unfortunately on way in Tue nite our operators truck developed mechanical problems from the beating it was taking from the slush and snow so did not get out Wed. Thanks for everything Yves. Enjoy the tipup .

interesting that you stayed at Sandy bay but fished at Yves. Also how some comments get deleted and some do not. Great catch by the way.Haven't seen that many perch caught in years.Think you hit the hot time on the right two days.

Have stayed and fished with Jeff for years. Had to go elsewhere since Jeff has given up renting huts. We were booked with 2 other outfitters that cancelled. Yves did have our hut on the fish. Though majority were caught outside. Shiners on a deadstick worked best. It kept us hopping.

Still lots of perch. They move around, generally bite better end of season.
I was told of 138 caught in a private hut in one day. To say where would probably ruin it.

We here at Chalkley's Sandy Bay still offer ice fishing packages, we have teamed up with Chilly Willy's. Keith, Nikki and Mike are operating my day huts for me, and are doing a great job. I only go on the lake now if I want too.
