Any tips on how to deal with a really rough looking boat launch.

I took a walk in Sunday and it looked a lot worse than the last time we made it but then again I was in a big GMC 4*4 that time and didn't really think much of the uneven ground, dips or massive boulders.

With my new SUV I can make the drive in but that ramp looks like I would or should do something when getting in and out to make it a little bit less of a mission.

Any tips other than loads of gravel because I'm not that rich?
Right up to the concrete barrier is fine but after than the 8ft est to the lakes shore is more natural than not and has a lot of erosion between the concrete and lakes shore leaving a pretty significant dip I would hate to get hung up on or take off a bumper.

I should have taken a picture but all I heard was your not bringing our new SUV into here I hope. Blah Blah Blah but there is a nice boat launch on the other lake blah blah blah, that's not the point OMG.

Is this Lake Nipissing? The level still will rise about 3 feet. Gravel won't stay as wave action and propeller thrust will just push it away, my suggestion would be patio stones,

If it's a public boat launch, make a complaint/awareness call to NBMCA or the local MNR office.
