Goin up to pull the hut, and have a look around the public (walk-on) access to see how far we have come as respectful NON-RESIDENT resource users. Seeing as we have been ULTRA careful where we have been breathing, we have washed our hands constantly, and basically had to consider what impact we have on other peoples health (and freedom), one would ASSUME that us adults would be a wee bit more careful about messing things up for others? I understand circumstance and crap, but I sadly expect the melted snowbanks to be LITTERED with LITTER. Main offenders being beer cans and Tim hortons cups, oh and the odd mask. I will get picks, and I'm sure it's not too bad. We will clean up what we can, and then drive it back to my home, to properly dispose. Garbage is the number one excuse, that individuals and communities cite when attempting to restrict access to all of us. BASICALLY if an access or launch does NOT have a TRASH BIN, then the locals want that access GONE. There's none of us seasonal fishers in that council meeting in February to stand up for public access, cause hey YOU aren't even a resident. We either clean up our act, or lose it all. I live on a sideroad with 10 houses or so and noticed we were picking up the same brand of beer cans and bottles on the roadside, didn't take long for it to stop, he got the message from the can pyramid we made by our mailbox. If he didn't the next pile of glass would have been in his driveway. Once the litterers get found out, they stop, lol. And c'mon after all WE ARE CANADIAN...

Glad to say there was only a 12 pack worth of empties, half a dozen timmies cups and well a couple things no one should be throwing at a lakeside ramp. Anyway, I was really pleased this year. The slobbery wasn't what it was last spring. Good stuff, picked up what we could see and hope to see everyone around the lake next winter. Only a couple slob hut out there this year, all the regulars kept clean and the numerous visitors, did good. Glad to see peeps do really care, Bravo sportsmen and women.
