i recently purchased a garmin uhd 95sv and the ice fishing kit that comes with the gt10hn ice fishing ducer. for anyone that has this unit, are you able to mark your jig down past 100fow with this ducer? it is high frequency and narrow beam ( 130-300khz - 7-16* beam). if there is any current at all, im worried it wont pick up the jig as it will swing outside the cone.

thanks

I have the same setup and also have the Panoptix, anything deeper than 70 feet the panoptix is almost useless and I use the Traditional sonar GT10.
I've fished water as keep as 120 and the GT10 works great.

i have the GT10 and was at about 85 fow this past winter and had no issues seeing a 3/8oz meegs. I think my bottom cone was around 17 - 18 ft at that depth so 100 ft you should see 20 plus ft, zero no issues seeing or losing my jig at 85ft, the dead zone at the bottom of the high narrow is excellent and only a few inches compared to my Hummingbird 19 degree ice cone that lets you see more cone but less bottom so both have trade offs but i'd take less dead zone at bottom over more distance any day.

Thanks for the insight guys. I used it this morning for the first time. At first I was pretty frustrated as I could really get a good return on my 5/8jig down 130 fow. I messed around with setting until it was actually useable but there’s still lots of work to be done. I actually gave up and used my old hb 385ci until I got things to the point that I could actually track my bait a bit.
What settings have you guys fine tuned it with?

i haven't spent much time with the GT10 since i have live scope and fish under 50ft in most cases but when i did try deeper water 85ft i just payed with the gain until i could see and track the jig, not even sure I would ever be at 130fow to ever try that deep ice fishing.

I’m using it from a boat with spot lock on trolling motor. Tried again this morning and thinking the high wide would be better suited. In 130-140fow if you’re not using a 3/4 oz jig, it’s not in the cone.
