This ice season is too short unfortunately. I recall about 4 years ago, Dave (burney1945) and I ice fished the same lake with same shoreline access on April 22 (and two days later on April 24 he returned there and fished one last time alone:-)

Nice going James. If this is the lake you told me about last year, I hope to be able to fish up there and meet up with you one day. Sounds like end of the season is the time to be there. Agree that the ice season seems to be getting shorter and shorter. I still remember years when ice fishing on Simcoe in April was still easily doable. Usually, I don't mind getting a little wet at the end of the day (if needed) to get off the ice in shallower water.
