Met up with a buddy at the Old Mill on the Humber. We were there specifically to act like kids again and slam some suckers. They run the pull and then they give up but man o man you can get hit all day with the right presentation.
We found a pocket in the rapids a about 10’ long and 10’ wide. It was about mid thy deep and black with suckers. We took awhile to figure out what they wanted to hit. They wouldn’t touch a worm or fly but a champagne coloured soft bead was the trick. They couldn’t resist it.
In the mix we hit two Steelhead which were very very few and far between.
Steelhead and Suckers, Any tug is a good tug.
