Wasi Falls fish sanctuary

I was wondering exactly where the boundaries of the Wasi Falls fish sanctuary were since I didn't want to accidentally fish there or too close to that area (closed from opener to May 31st and from October 1st to November 30th). So I searched up for a map of the area and couldn't find one. Trying to find lot and concession info online was a challenge. I ended up on North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority's website where they have a map viewer of the area they cover (Geocortex Viewer) and where I found the info needed to figure out where the fish sanctuary actually was.

Here are the screenshots I took with the lines the Viewer allowed me to draw (sorry for the measurements, couldn't take them out). BTW, their viewer says Burford Point is where the Yacht Club is located (what I it have showing on the map) and Google Maps says it is the point south of the Yacht Club. Also, I can't find the Wistiwasing River that is mentioned in the regulations.

Disclaimer: this is in no way anything official. I was just trying to make sure I wasn't in the wrong place at the wrong moment. Hope it helps others!

Wistiwasing is the official name for wassi river or wasi falls.

This needs to be fleshed out in the regs. If you were found fishing here, no way a judge would let the fine stand. I also tried figuring out where the sanctuary was. Just ended up avoiding the falls.

We went through this a little bit on the west arm when they started changing the regs. At one point the boundary was the Hwy 64 bridge, which you can pass under freely. It had different regs on each side.
Then they changed it to something like "all connected, navigable waterways", which wasn't clear (there are parts of the west end that are connected but larger boats can't get into, or ease of access depends on time of year and water level).
It's a little more descriptive now, but you can still day trip/portage into lakes off nip that are not subject to the same regs. I wouldn't want to try and explain a limit of 16" fish to a warden on the way back to camp after such an "excursion"

Northhunter navigable water does not depend on the boat size.
If a canoe can go there it would be considered navigable.

From what I've been told, and I'm heading there Monday to confirm, there is a sign south of the river on the shoreline, and this sign lined up to Burford point is the sanctuary.
