Hi everyone,
I realize this is a Simcoe board but I feel like you guys might be able to help me out. I'm going to Kirkland Lake for a few days to do some gigs. Between rehearsals and sound checks and writing assignments for school I might have some time in the mornings to do a little fishing. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Not really looking to keep anything, I'll most likely be too busy to deal with that. Just want an opportunity to "decompress", so to speak, as well as enjoy the North (never been anywhere north of Parry Sound and east side of Algonquin once, unfortunately).
After KL we'll be going to Deep River for a couple days for another gig, so I'd be thankful if anyone can provide any info about that area. I'm sure there's good trout fishing around both spots but I'm not sure I'd be able to drive to any spots that are challenging to access, we're 5 going up in a van full of performance gear. Plus I'm limited to shore fishing.
Also if anyone could recommend good spots for food and a beer, that would be amazing!
