Quinte Opener

A little over a week early with this topic, but the excitement mounts.....

Heading up to Quinte (Deseronto) for the opener next weekend in hopes of landing some gold.

Haven't been up that way in probably 15 years, but remember as a kid having great times up there and good fishing.

Heard it got slow for a couple years, but was told it has improved?

Looking forward to hearing how others make out.

Quinte opener was last week

fished Sunday for 4 smaller walleye and a pike and a larger cat. Tough go but will be back after whitie opener on Simcoe this weekend.

It was good to be back out at Quinte after all those years....

Fished the Northport area with weather/fish being sporadic and all over the map.

Did manage 11 over the trip with the biggest being 5.6lbs on the digital.

Mostly good sized fish in the 2-3lb range on bottom bouncers and trolling cranks.

Brother was lucky enough to pick up an 11.11lb sheephead the one day which was good for laughs and a heck of a fight.
