Yup---agree.

Portaging "in" is easier and is always the one you look forward to. Portaging out is harder.

Anybody agree?

I hear what you’re saying and kind of agree…
But on the way out you have no food if you’ve done your meal planning closely enough. So travelling out is quite a bit lighter

By the time your coming out your so worn down that it doesn't matter anymore, we smell so bad and the body is so sore every step feels the same so you just keep pushing so you can get home to shower.

But your right at least I don't have all that beer to carry out with me too.

I think I find the first long portage to be the worse. It just seem so painful not having done it in a while. But then you get a bit use to things and become more efficient at it and figure out how to reduce the pain a bit. I agree that coming out is usually not as bad (esp. if you've had a great time and lots of fish and know there is a greasy meal coming up - when I was young, we would always hit the closet KFC and load up with the high salt and fat meal).
