Had a rough start this morning, must have lost a dozen fish before I finally hit my stride…. Launched around 8:30am, marked stacks on bottom in 35-25fow… set up shop and managed 7 in the boat, kept 2 for dinner and released one fat laker…. What a fight! Managed a nice sized whitefish in the bunch as well that didn’t fight much at all… the small ones were vicious though. Off the water by 11:20 and home for lunch and a beer before noon.

Thanks all! Looking forward to a fun summer. Backcountry camping lakes again next weekend, arm power, gonna paddle and portage. Then first week july I’ll be in Quebec for walleye, bass, pike, whitefish and lakers for a week, can’t wait! Looking forward to some wicked storms in the bush, they always make the best memories. Stay safe!
