back home, same results

just back from my annual blood donation clinic in the area north of Sudbury. I think i have the whole alphabet written in braille on my head from the bumps left by blackflies and mosquitoes ,every flying insect up there wants to eat you this time of year.Went up with a buddy to open his camp for the season.Its like in the movie Groundhog Day, the results of the fishing are always the same . Come home with your limit in walleye , a couple of lake trout and pike and bass thrown in if your inclined to keep them.Walleye were taken with either jig and a leech or a worm still fishing lakers came on long lines with small body baits.WE had bald eagles patrolling the skies around us waiting for the fish guts we throw on the bank for them, and two moose in the swamp on the drive out on the bush road.Always nice to head back up were i grew up, just wish somebody would do something about the damn bugs LOL.

A bucket of fish like that is worth a few bug bites. Nice pics and looks like a great spot. Doesn’t look too crowded either. I’m only a little jealous.

I grew up in a small railroad town north of Sudbury called Capreol. The vermilian river runs through town for about 35 miles north to the headwaters . WE were fishing about 28 miles up the river from town. Fished most of that river system for the past 55 years.
