Hey everyone, been a LONG time since I’ve posted much on here. Between moving to our dream property last year, getting that all sorted out and doing many projects around the new house, and crazy busy work, I just haven’t been out on the water much.
Managed to sneak out for the morning today though, before it got too crazy hot.
I hit a lake that’s not known for huge fish, but has tons of smaller ones. That’s fine by me, I just wanted to get my string stretched a bit! First bass of the season hammered a buzzbait, and in about 4 hours I stopped counting after 50 largemouth, pretty much all on a hollow body frog, with a few buzz bait fish mixed in. Some of the spots I hit were a fish on every cast. Nothing over 3lbs, but I didn’t care, was just nice to get out and hammer a pile of fish.
I also noticed, this was a pretty busy Muskoka cottage lake, and on this beautiful day I only saw about 3 other boats the whole time I was out there. Maybe the gas prices have slowed down some boat traffic, fine by me as it was a very peaceful day on the water.
