> South Bay Musky, Heading up in a week

Just wondering how the musky fishing has been in south bay lately, will be heading up there in a week. Have gone up the last couple Septembers at this time but haven't had any success (have found some decent pike however). Mainly focus on fishing around islands and over deeper weedlines (all casting), haven't ever tried fishing more out in the main lake for them. Just wondering if I'm trying the wrong general patterns for this time of year or if I've just had bad luck (was there during a nasty cold front two years ago, and talked to some people last year who were fishing for musky without success either).

Tight lines,

Sorry for the delay on the report, fishing was fairly slow for the week, one big pike and a small muskie (26 in). Lots of fishing pressure throughout the week, usually at least 5 or 6 boats out trolling/casting big stuff every day. Caught a few incidental walleye and smallmouth which at least kept things interesting. Now begins the long wait until next year's trip.

Best of luck to everyone
