As much as I’ve fished around loons, I’ve had them dive and swim all around me and never had one hit a man-made lure I was using …only dead minnows. The ones in Algonquin are educated I guess…smart enough to know what’s fake and what’s real.

Gutted only. Can clean them wallet style, requires skin attached and front fins intact, leaving the tail attached to keep the two filets together like a wallet…. Transportation rules.
