Well went to fish the native reserve today and I do have a license at least this year. It the 1st year I have bought a license and probably my last. They want to double the cost next year and are hassling fishermen saying they need pleasure boat license as well. Anyway we tried trolling for walleye and got nothing. We did manage a nice large mouth, 8 nice perch, 5 bluegill and 5 sunfish. Bunch of
small ones thrown back.

What makes you think you are exempt from the Federal Boating Laws?

I don't mine some one asking a question, but you are just being ignorant here. If you bothered to ask the reserve is imposing their own pleasure craft license.

If you had explained yourself properly, he wouldn't have had to ask the question.

So this is something I’ve never heard of before. Does the reserve have their own version of a pleasure craft operators card with their own course and exam? I’m also assuming there is a cost involved. Just curious.

fishnhunt, yes only no test just a $200 cost. Guess the current council doesn't want non natives to use their waters. I was with a native the other day when I was fishing, he doesn't like the whole thing as he believes in promoting the reserve, not isolating it. So next year if things go as they are talking it would be 280 to fish in the reserve, which is a big no thank you for me. I have fished for well for longer than I want to say and this year was the first time I have bought a reserve fishing license, guess not no going to be any more.

I would just stop fishing the reserve.
Ontario has the most fresh water lakes and rivers of anywhere in the world. There is a jewel in every corner of Ontario. Maybe this is just the shove you can use to find the next jewel.
