Sounds like a great time.

We have been at Horseshoe Valley since 1999 and while I don't put out feeders for the birds in the Summer, I do have a birdbath which I keep filled as we are on high ground and there is no nearby water. It is a real "bird magnet".

The Grosbeaks would arrive in early May and would be here all Summer. Now, they still come in early May and are here for about a month and then gone. I assume, their range now has them going further North.

As for Big Lou....he is one giant of a Largemouth Bass, and that story has been going on for several years

the Grosbeaks may be moving further north....who knows. in any case they are very gorgeous to have around....they must have been nesting nearby because once 5 showed up the parents were still feeding the young ones seeds off the feeder

ya .........10 days goes by like 3 it seems...and it doesn't matter whether you fish or not, the days just fly by

I have never had a Grosbeak at my feeder, but I'm in the city. I would say unlikely.. But seen them once at John's feeders at his house on the Trent. Beautiful birds. Congrats.

Nicely done ! The wildlife and the whole environment up north is very different and relaxing.
It does not matter how many days one spent there it’s always not enough .
