I recently moved to Colborne so I plan on fishing BOQ for walleye. I drove out to Belleville to check some boat ramps before I drag out the new boat. George St was really shallow and it looks like it would work best with two people. Is there a better place to launch from that I can solo launch? I usually fish the Kawarthas for Simcoe so this is all new to me. Not much on trying out new things, either, but is now almost two hours to Balsam.

Don't know how far you're planning on driving, but the ramp in the middle of Picton is really good. And there's quite a bit of parking on the lot and the grass nearby. Not sure if they charge for it though as I've never left my truck there.

Thanks everybody. I will try Herchimer. The distance is fine is is next on my list. I am going to Weller Bay as well. the boat launch is decent but a bit pricey at $20, as I usually go at least once a week. My move is complete and the renos are well underway, so I can get back to living life soon.
