Family trip to the back lake couple weekends ago. Managed to mount the Powerdrive on the dingy, made staying in one spot a lot easier. However, this year we couldn’t find a single Splake out there. Last year we marked deep fish every time we went out, but struggled to stay on top of them in the wind. This year we could stop wherever we wanted but couldn’t find the fish. That’s ok, there were plenty of bass willing to commit. Made sure the boys had fun, spanking bass in beautiful aquamarine waters. They swam almost as much as the fish. They would hit almost anything…. Nephew got the best one of the weekend. We all got sunburned despite slathering the kids with sunscreen. Great times were had.
A few tweaks to the mount for next year, hoping those Splake are willing to be seen next time. Still fun to try!

The vessel of the weekend. One 27 group battery from Napa lasted all weekend and still 90% full when I put back on charge when I got home. Barely has to work on that tiny boat.

What a wonderful family fishing trip. Something that the boys will remember as I have on my family fishing trips. Keep up the family outings as you will never regret being there with your family.
