Having fun with little fish, small creeks and very basic setups. Split shot and a hook with some worm and cold creeks have brought me back too my childhood. I put back a solid 95% of the natural trout that I happen upon. But the odd occasion I keep a few, so please no judgement because I recognize creeks are fragile fisheries. No other pictures as I catch and release as fast as possible.

Nice specks! No need to be so defensive, you’re allowed to keep a few for a snack! Enjoy

those are great fish, nothing wrong with those. I have caught and ate many of that size trout in small creeks,

I love those creek specks. Nothing prettier and good food also. I also fished creeks years ago…should try it again.

Talk about a trip back in time, growing up my brother and I would come home from school grab our bikes and then wade the creeks.

If mother only knew the places we would go

It doesn't get much better then hiking a creek with a 5ft UL and a few spinners chasing residents. I could spend hours doing that, catch nothing and be completely satisfied

Wow, you brought back memory lane for sure.......I remember skipping school and wading creeks

It was always more than enjoyable, but really tough to explain to the parents when I got home with 2 or 4 fish during the week
