Hi all,
We're going close to spoon chucking season! Nothing beats tossing lures in the dead of night while waiting for that big king strike. Last few years I've focused on the river mouths in mid and late August. Obviously that's where the salmon are heading so it is easiest to intercept them there. This year I'm thinking about experimenting... Specifically, I have a few shoreline spots that I fish for bass which get very deep very close to shore. I think I can cast into 20+ FOW from some spots.
Has anyone ever had any luck with staging salmon away from the river mouths?
