Took the big boat way out to the big water this morning for some bass. Took a little bit to find the right shoal, but once I did it was absolute pandemonium for over an hour. Every single drop hooked a bass, and they were all from 3-5lbs with the biggest right at 5. I lost count of the total number caught, but it was a fun way to get a sore arm, with the drop shot rod

Seguin Fisher,
I was thinking about you and even wanted to ask if you were out for bass this year. You are a very skilled and successful bass catcher.
I don’t catch many basses this year…. I usually catch more bass than pikes fishing around Moon Bay but this year I got only one decent bass. Wanted to ask if it’s just me or something happened with bass this year. … Seems that bass is there, I just don’t know how to get them…
Good to know.
Thanks for the info and pictures.

This is awesome. Always wanted to fish the outer shoals, though I don’t target bass often.

So you say you went whale fishing. Those are some very big bass. Very nice catches.

Wow, that’s called catching, not fishing

Definitely a fun time of year! Some big critters are out on those same shoals as well
