Good day at Meaford.

As we were heading out just after 8AM, others were coming in. Some with fish, others none.

By 8:30 we had our first fish in the boat, a 3.5 lb rainbow that came on a green/white black ladderback Lyman down 50 ft over 100fow.

An hour later we put a 7lb Salmon in the boat on a Watermelon coloured spoon, once again. down 50 ft over 100ft.

Didn't mark much and things went quiet after 9:30. We pulled rods at 1PM.

Tried Lyman, Freedom Herring Cut Baits and various spoons, including my favorite Luhr Jensen Shoehorns.

Most of the fish we marked were in 80-125 fow. Nothing out deep and we went as far as 200fow.

Nice weather, light winds and not too hot.

Maybe get out again next week.
